Black rock rovers
Firstly I would like to ask if it is ok to use the picture from rocks 1946 on our social media?

We have been trying to trace the history of the club since starting up again last year. We have hit a bit of a wall. If any one could help us with any old pictures or information that would be amazing.

Please do - you are welcome; after all it is a Blackrock Rovers' photo. Good luck in your research. I will have a look myself.

I just wanted to send you a note and Thank you for your website on Evanton history.

I just found it and will have to spend some time to look through everything.
I am from Vancouver, Canada.

My 4th great grand parents were James Sutherland (1781-1861) and Christian Munro (1786-1867) She was from Clashnabuiac and they lived there till about 1812 when they moved to the Mains of Novar. (They had a child at Clashnabuiac in 1811 and one at Novar in 1813) is listed as an Ag lab in the censuses. I recently found one of their sons death certificate from Greenock that lists him as the Overseer of Novar.

Thank you again

Teesdale House
I am trying to locate a large granite house in Evanton that was built for my great grandfather Andrew Craik in approx 1900. We always knew of it as Teesdale House but this does not come up on any searches. My grandmother Jane Craik Hudson lived in this house through the war years and I think left in 1960. I would be interested in any info regarding the house or my family. We also have insurance taken out on "The Cottage" in 1961 by my grandma but were not aware that she had moved to this property.
